Sophia and I went to look at the Difference Engine No. 2 designed by Charles Babbage in 1849 and was not built until 153 years later.
All the artsy photos were taken by Sophia, I am pretty ham fisted with a camera.

JoeJohnson > Another view of the printer. the paper roll is above, and the tray below can hold a soft material, like plaster of paris, that will simultaneously be imprinted (Called Stereotyping) so that a plate can be cast to mass print the resulting calculations.
